How to use
- Enter the total and how you want each share rounded.
- List the people. The first person is the organiser who paid.
- Give someone a bigger or smaller share with the Share column, for example 1.5 or 0.5.
- Copy the text and paste it into your group chat.
How rounding works
Everyone except the organiser pays their share rounded to the unit you chose. With Round up the group collects slightly more and the organiser keeps the extra; with Round down the organiser covers the small gap. The difference is always shown.
Frequently asked questions
Can I include a tip?
Add the tip to the total before splitting. For a 15% tip on 160, enter 184.
What does a share of 0.5 mean?
That person pays half as much as someone with a share of 1. Use it for people who arrived late or didn’t drink.
Is the list saved?
Yes, in this browser only, so you can reuse it for the next outing.
